Born in Erice (province of Trapani) on 20th January 1972. Married with three children.
In December 1996 she gained a degree at Palermo University with a thesis on tax law with the title “inductive calculation of direct taxes”, with the maximum possible marks.
From a professional point of view, she spent a training period in Palermo, in the law firm Francesco Schiavo, where she dealt mainly with questions of civil and tax law, and then in Rome, in the law firm Gregoria Maria Failla, where she acquired a deeper knowledge of civil and administrative law questions and also performed her first period of activity as a professional.
In 2001 she qualified as a lawyer with an examination sat for at the Rome Court of Appeal.
Since 2003 she has been working for the law firm Gattamelata and Associates, where she has been handling and deepened her knowledge of civil law questions, particularly as regards execution and bankruptcy procedures, and of administrative law as regards public sector employment. Her work has embraced the whole range of judicial activities, including the drawing up of documentation and taking part in court hearings with the discussion of appeals before a civil judge or a T.A.R. administrative judge. She handles, in particular, a number of clients, including a well-known industrial-editorial group and two banks, with which she is directly and continuously in contact.
She has assisted the legal publishing house Indicitalia, a company forming part of the Wolters Kluwer Italia (WKI) group, by handling the drawing up of the editorial notes on a CD-ROM about public sector employment, together with selecting the relevant practices and (civil and administrative) jurisprudence currently in force; she is now responsible for updating the product in the part she is responsible for.
She has a good knowledge of spoken and written English and knowledge of application software for Windows in its various versions.
